Women's wrestling debuted at the 2004 Olympics. Within this debut, the first ever women’s bout to take place was BC’s own Lyndsay Belisle. Since then, it has been a long road which many women have stood as leaders to pave the way for future athletes. Today on National Girls and Women in Sports Day, we would like to thank all those who have dedicated their lives to sport, and continue to set amazing examples of sportsmanship, leadership and strength.
