BC Wrestlers at the Canada Games

Team BC had another strong showing at the recently completed Canada Games.

Below is a summary of our team performance as well as our individual medalists.

Men - Silver as a team. Our men started very strong in the dual competition, winning all five of their duals (5-0). Our team reached the finals of the dual competition after going undefeated in the pools. In the final, our team fell short against a very strong Ontario team. The men's team will look to build off of this impressive showing and post even better results during the season.

Women - Took home Gold as a team for the first time in history!. Our women went 4-0 in the pool system. This lead to a dominant performance in the final against Alberta, winning 32-18. Our women dominated the field en route to capturing the top prize in the national competition. Well done ladies!

Congratulations to all coaches, athletes, and team managers for all your hard work over the Summer that ultimately culminated in the best showing our province has ever achieved at these games. Well done BC!
